How To Play The Wolf

Be Active

Inactive players are almost always the first ones lynched. Talk frequently with the alliance leader, even if you have nothing useful to say. Players that are helpful or even players that appear helpful are rarely killed early.

Be Unpredictable

Use different tactics, even if said tactics are working. Humans like to look for patterns. If you keep changing up your posting style or wolfing choices, it confuses people. Wolves prosper in confusion.

Remain Calm

There are often times where as a wolf you may be in danger of being killed. As long as you stay relaxed, it's possible to save yourself. Players who react angrily to being attacked get little sympathy and they usually still die. It's often humans will suspect you just for a reaction, and anger is a reaction they're looking for.

Be Consistent

As a wolf, you're going to have to lie, a lot. The difference between good and bad wolves is the ability to cover up those lies. Since you already know who the wolves are, you have to make humans look suspicious. When you do so, you're probably going to be asked why you think they're suspicious, so you better have a reason ready. Unless the alliance leader tells you that your suspect is a special (Tip: They won't), you stick on your suspicion. Wolves that drop their suspects too easily often get discovered.

How To Play Special Human That's Not The Alliance Leader

Act Like A Wolf

Yeah, this might sound crazy, but it actually works really well. The wolves very rarely attack or seer a player the humans may consider lynching. Since you have powers, you want to be around as long as possible. There have been a few instances where this backfires, but if you're in danger of being lynched, and there's no alliance left to help you, just claim your role. It's better to be wolfed than lynched.
Be Active In Private, Not In Public
Wolves typically target humans being helpful. If it appears you know too much, you can expect to be killed. Therefore any major posts should be sent to the alliance in private. The alliance leader is your mouthpiece.

How To Play Special Human When You Are The Alliance Leader

Claim Night 1

I know there seems to be some sort of debate over it, but night 1 is superior to day 1. If you wait until day 1, there is a chance a special human could have died night 1 that would be completely unaccounted for. This forces you to assume they're too inactive to claim, when they are in fact dead. Even worse, a wolf could discover their victim was a special and take their place, allowing an alliance infiltration.

You Are The Mouthpiece

Keep this in mind before you claim as well. If you're not going to be around much, you probably shouldn't be the alliance leader. You call most of the shots. If your alliance wants to announce seers/coroner results/whatever, you're going to be the one to announce them. You also announce things like the lynching targets. Most importantly, you decide who to trust. Don't trust anything that can have multiple claims. The biggest example is human, but something like an orange Item Forger when the Wolf Thief is also orange applies.

How To Play Normal Human

Be Active

Same as wolf. Inactive players are almost always the first ones lynched. Talk frequently with the alliance leader, even if you have nothing useful to say. Players that are helpful or even players that appear helpful are rarely killed early. If you find something useful, tell the alliance leader asap.

Act Like A Special Human

Ask the alliance leader if you can be the one to reveal things like seer results if he was going to reveal them publically anyway. This confuses the wolves, and makes them assume you may be the seer and kill you. You are more expendable than the blues, even if you're a good player.

Cooperate With The Alliance Leader, But Don't Trust Him

If the alliance leader asks you to do something, do it. But don't just trust him to handle everything. You have your own brain, use it. If you have a suspicion or evidence that the alliance leader failed to mention, bring it up. If makes you appear more human, and it may take out a wolf.
